TOPIX: +42.98 (+3.0%) to 1,497.71; Advancers 1,526 x decliners 144 (unch. 52), New highs 6 x new lows 67; 32/33 sectors posted gains
Nikkei Jasdaq: +16.16 (+0.9%) to 1,775.40
Yen: weakened 1.3% against the US$ to the 111.30 level late in Tokyo; weakened 1.7% against the euro to the 163.05 level
Notes: The rally included 3.9% and 3.3% gains by MOTHERS and HERCULES. We’ll take the gains, but this is nothing to get excited about. Just a sigh of relief.
