Nikkei, TOPIX End Lower on Weak Capital Spending Reading, Profit-Taking, Abe Admin SNAFU

Monday 9/3 Tokyo trading recap:
* Nikkei 225 Stock Average: -44.16 (-0.3%) to 16,524.93
* Nikkei 225 futures Osaka: -60 (-0.4%) to 16,540, Singapore (SGX) 16,515, Chicago (CME) 8/31 — 16,585
* TOPIX: -2.81 (-0.2%) to 1,605.44; Advancers 807 x decliners 793 (unch. 125), New highs 14 x new lows 10; 14/33 sectors posted gains
* Jasdaq: +1.51 (+0.1%) to 1,909.47
* Ministry of Finance reported before the market open that capital investment fell 4.9% year-over-year (April - June period)
* Stocks fared quite well considering the weak capital investment reading; the resignation of the recently appointed Minister of Agriculture amidst yet another scandal allegation; and with general overall uncertainty and distrust for Japanese politics and the Abe administration.
