* TOPIX: -4.66 (-0.3%) to 1,763.06; Advancers 609 x decliners 972 (unchanged 150), New highs 67 x new lows 68; 10/33 sectors posted gains
* Jasdaq: -0.37 (-0.45%) to 80.95
* Yen: weakens 0.8% against US$ to 122.25 - 122.26
* BoJ: holds at 0.5%, market reaction muted; stocks drop in late afternoon session trading led by decline in futures
