Bulls were in control today: 32 of 33 TOPIX sectors and over 82% of TOPIX 1st Section stocks (1,424 x 232) posted gains. Yen weakness was certainly helpful for exporters, but smaller-caps were noticeably absent from today’s rally. The Nikkei 225 added 259.98 to 17,743.76. The big question is if the rally will extend or be hit by quick profit-taking.
